This agent made several mistakes. We had both auto and home coverage then later cancelled the auto coverage due to repetitive increases. They ended up canceling both policies and when we told them the home insurance was suppose to remain active they said there was nothing we can do until we pay back the difference of a check that was being processed and sent back to us. Later when the policy was reactivated they were too lazy to make sure it matched the first policy and I was removed from it leaving only my wife. Fast forward to a claim we made on our home over a year later and State Farm wouldn’t fully process our claim because I called in the claim. No one let us know this until about 3 weeks after the claim was started. It took State Farm about 8 weeks to send a third party adjuster and after his findings we were told State Farm needed to send their own adjuster. After us calling back 3 more times the adjuster said no one was coming and the claim was denied 10 weeks later. This time gap caused more rain damage. A rep even said it shouldn’t have taken this long. I could have gotten my roof repaired two months prior had I known they wouldn’t cover it. They never inspected inside the home and said I was responsible for getting on my roof to take pictures of damages (I don’t even have a ladder and I don’t know what to look for) and I needed to send pictures of interior damages. I was told by the claims department and the agency that they doubt the damages exceed the deductible inside. All of a sudden they’re all pros on plywood, insulation, drywall, ducting and framing damages without seeing the home. State Farm takes your money and in the end won’t spend money to send an adjuster. When speaking to the agency they said there’s nothing they could do and recommends we call claims. We never call in for help and the one time we do they didn’t want to assist until I made them. They will collect their commission on every renewal but when you need them they don’t take their time to handle things correctly or they send you to the 800 number. I wouldn’t recommend this agency to anyone or State Farm. Also when you have a claim with them no one calls back. We had to call about 8 times to get info. Even the claim status wasn’t told to us until we called.
